BALLAD ABOUT DAUMANTAS (BALADĖ APIE DAUMANTĄ)

The poetic documentary tells about the partisan fight against the Soviet occupation after the World War II and about the partisan leader Juozas Lukša “Daumantas” shot by NKVD in 1952. Memories are shared by Lukša’s brothers in arms, his wife and his “friend” who betrayed him. Vytautas Bložė reads his own poetry in the background. The film uses a lot of Soviet propaganda newsreels and pictures of partisans.
